Zelpha Rowe Czyz, 100, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on January 12, 2019. Zelpha was born on May 25, 1918 to the late George and Florence Walker.
She retired from General Electric as an engineering technician in 1980. She was active in The GE Electronettes and the GE Women's Golf League. In her retirement she became an avid painter and spent many happy winters with her sister, Reva, in Florida. Spending time with her family brought her great joy.
She is survived by a daughter, Dorothy (Albert) Capria; grandchildren, David (Theresa) Capria, Gregory (Elsa) Capria and Jennifer (Thomas) Newton; great-grandchildren, Anna, Heidi, Allison, Lilly and Tommy; brother, Frank (Sylvia) Walker and many beloved nieces and nephews.
Predeceased by her first husband, David Rowe; her second husband, Chester Czyz; siblings, Jesse Walker, Doris Gardner, Elizabeth Chamberlin and Reva Sadler.
The family would like to thank Iroquois Nursing Home for the excellent care during her stay.
Calling hours will take place at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, Thursday January 17th from 11am-1pm. Funeral Service will follow at 1pm. Burial will take place at North Syracuse Cemetery, North Syracuse.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to St. Jude Children's Hospital.
