Yolanda R. Weiss, 85, of Rancho Palos Verdes, CA, passed away Tuesday. She was born in New York City and raised her family on Long Island. She retired from the Suffolk County Water Authority in Oakdale, NY. She then moved to Rancho Palos Verdes, CA. She lived there for many years before moving to Syracuse to be closer to her family. She enjoyed fine dining, travel and entertaining.

She is predeceased by her husband, Herbert Weiss in 1974 and her brother, Savario Rozzo in 1977.

She is survived by two daughters, Christine (Paul) Tranchell of Liverpool, NY and Barbara (Mike) Howell of Torrance, CA; two granddaughters, Jessica (Kyle) Brescher of Dover, NJ and Ariel Tranchell of Utica, NY; two great grandsons, Joseph and Jason Brescher both of Dover, NJ.

A calling hour will be Friday from 4-5 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, NY 13212 with services at 5PM.
