Winifred Adele Kauffman, died peacefully on February 12, 2014, at the age of 93, in Syracuse, NY. Born on March 10, 1920, in Delabole, PA, to Minnie and Arch Rutt, she was predeceased by her husband Chester L. Kauffman of Manlius, her sister Betty Saltern of Manlius, and her brother Kenneth Rutt of Bangor, PA. Winnie, or Gabby as she was known to friends and family, lived and worked in Bangor, PA, until retiring to Manlius, to be near her family.
She is survived by two daughters and their husbands, Sharon and Jerry Nass of Manlius, NY, and Tanya and John Carver of Islesboro, ME; five grandchildren and their spouses, Krista and Bruce Bierman of CT, Shelby and Zachary Marowitz of MA, Cortney and Gary Baron of TN, Joshua and Cari Carver of ME, and Ross and Krista Carver of VA; ten great-grandchildren Sage, Jordan, and Caleb Bierman, Kassidy and Ethan Marowitz, Ava and Zoe Baron, Matthew Howard, and Grace and Jayson Emrich; as well as nephews Randy Saltern of Manlius, Kyle Saltern of Morrisville, NY, Ben Rutt of Pen Argyle, PA, a niece, Patti Martin of Morrisville, NY, and a sister-in-law, Inez Rutt of Bangor, PA.
She devoted her long life to her family and will be greatly missed.
