Winfred C. Runions, 88, of Liverpool, passed away on Thursday at the VA Hospital, surrounded by his family. He was born on May 15, 1925 in Potsdam, son of James and Gladys Runions. Winfred served in the US Navy during WW II and was last employed at Carrier Corp. for over 30 years.
He was a member of the American Legion and enjoyed spending time with his grandchildren. He was predeceased by his brother, Howard and his sister, Reva.
Surviving are his wife, Beverly of 58 years, 2 daughters: Rosemary (Rick) Queto, Linda Runions, 2 sons: Allan (Vicki) Runions, Raymond (Lorraine) Runions, along with 4 grandchildren: Allan, Patricia, Russell & Keith.
Calling hours will be held on Monday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Funeral services will be held on Tuesday 10am at the funeral home.
