Willis E. "Bill" Burton, 90, of Liverpool, passed away on Wednesday at the VA Medical Center. He was born on October 17, 1921 in Buffalo. Bill served in the US Army during WW II and Army National Guard for a total of 33 years achieving the rank of Sgt. Major.
Surviving are his wife, Roberta Jane, of 65 years, 2 daughters; Suanne (Daniel) Kazmierczak, Roberta (Howard) Smith and a grandson, Howard (Lucinda).
Graveside services will be held on Wednesday 1pm at Onondaga County Veterans Cemetery. There are no calling hours.
Contributions in lieu of flowers, may be made to CLC Hospice at the VA Medical Center, c/o Kathy Benedict, 800 Irving Ave., Syracuse, NY 13210.
