William J. Wicks

William J. "Wacky" Wicks, 75, of North Syracuse, passed away peacefully on Saturday at St. Joseph's Hospital with his loving family by his side. He was born on June 24, 1938 in Ogdensburg, son of William and Elizabeth Wicks. Bill worked as a conductor for Conrail for over 30 years. He was a member of the American Legion, enjoyed golfing and was an avid Yankees, Giants and SU Basketball Fan. He was predeceased
by his father, William, mother, Elizabeth(Alexina)and other mother,Phyllis Wicks in 2011.
Surviving are his wife, Nancy of 52 years, son, William (Christine) Wicks, 3 daughters; Bonnie (Daniel) Narsasian, Tracey Lindner, Nancy Perry, 5 grandchildren; Joseph, Mitchell, Adam, Jessica & Cody, 4 great grandchildren; Michael, Dylan, Carolynn & Blake, god daughter, Dustina, 2 brothers; Edward (Judy) Wicks, Robert Wicks, 3 sisters, Nancy (Arnold) Hooper, Cheryl Wiltse, Cathy (Keith) Williams, along with several aunts, uncles cousins, nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 5-8pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Services will be held on Thursday 11am at North Manlius United Church.
