William V. Blandford

William V. "Bill" Blandford, 82, of Liverpool, passed away on Wednesday at Crouse Hospital. He was born in Syracuse son of Roy and Iva Blandford. Bill served in the US Navy during the Korean Conflict and owned Blandford's Mobil in Liverpool for 16 years and the Tanning Oasis for 6 years. He was past member of the American Legion and the Past Time Club. In past years Bill enjoyed golfing, bowling, playing cards, watching sports and the many summers spent at Brennan Beach.
Surviving are his wife Eileen, of 40 years, son Mark (Dellie) Blandford, New Orleans, 2 daughters; Jill (Tom) Benson, Linda (John) Marsh, 5 grandchildren; Eric Blandford, Crystal Ennis, Amanda, Jessica and Sean Marsh, 2 great grandchildren; Mckenzie and Audrey Ennis, 2 brothers; James (Margie) Blandford and Robert Blandford, along with his dog, "Jack".
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 North Main Street, North Syracuse with services at 7pm.
