William J Springer, 53 of Liverpool, NY died peacefully Monday morning surrounded by family after a 2 year hard fought battle with cancer.
Billy was last employed by Burdick Hyundai in Cicero, NY. His entire career was customer service based. He was well respected and made many friends in every community and company he was employed in. He had an infectious spirit and a great sense of humor.
Billy enjoyed spending time with his family, especially his 3 year old granddaughter. He was an avid bowler, poker and card player. His great passions were riding his motorcycle and watching the NY Yankees and of course, the NY Giants.
He is predeceased by his son Justin Michael, mother Mary Springer, father Frederick Springer, sisters Amy Parker and Jeannie Angel.
He is survived by his wife Patricia, sons William Jr and Jon and his granddaughter Chloe all of Liverpool. Brothers Fred (Lugene) of Wilkes Barre, PA, James (Karen) of Liverpool. Sisters Christina of N. Syracuse, Susan of Liverpool, Bonnie of Martville, June of Liverpool, and Gloria of Buffalo. Sister in law Denise of Baldwinsville, Kathleen (Ray) of Fulton, brother in law Richard (Lisa) of Broken Arrow, OK. 100+ nieces and nephews, many cousins and friends.
His family would like to say a special heart felt thank you to the following: Dr Mackenzie, Dr Himpler, Dr's Kumar, Yerkes, and Wormoth, St Joseph's Hospital and Homecare and Hospice of CNY. Also to all individuals who gave support to Billy and his family.
Donations can be made in his name to the American Cancer Society and Hospice of CNY.
Calling hours will be held on Saturday from 1-4pm at Newcomer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, with services to follow.
