William S. Mecca, 96, of Mattydale, passed away on Sunday. He served in the US Navy during WWII. Bill was a member of the Mattydale American Legion 1832 and the Mattydale VFW 3146. Bill enjoyed painting and dancing.
Bill is survived by his wife, Betty Goodwin; children, William Mecca, Francis Mecca and Mary Catherine Hafner; step-children, Chuck (Eva) Goodwin and Donna Goodwin and two grandchildren.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, Feb. 27th at 11AM at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse.
Contributions may be made to the American Legion Mattydale Post 1832 or to Syracuse Catholic Charities.
