William E. Roach, Jr., 85, of Syracuse peacefully passed away in the early hours on Monday, July 18th. Best known as "Ladd" by family and friends, he was truly loved and will be greatly missed by everyone.
William was born on July 13th, 1937 and was a lifelong resident of Syracuse. He enjoyed a 25 year career at General Electric followed by a 20 year career at Westhill School District. One of his greatest enjoyments in life was spending time at his camp surrounded by family and friends. He will be remembered for his huge smile and even larger heart.
He was predeceased by his parents, William and Anne (Tunney) Roach; loving daughter, Patricia Roach; granddaughter, Kelcie Roach; brother, John Roach; sister, Delia Ficarro and sister, Nancy Bandt.
William is survived by his wife, Rosemary (Peltz) Roach and three sons, Mark (Colleen) Roach, Kevin Roach, Gregory Roach; grandchildren, Kaetlynn, Jordanne, Travis, Meara and four great-grandchildren; sisters, Nonie Libertone, Helen Swift and Margaret Lent; brothers, Michael (Gail) Roach, James (Barbara) Roach and many nieces and nephews.
Family and friends may call on Thursday July 28th from 4 till 7 at New Comer Cremations & Funerals; 705 N. Main St. N. Syracuse. Graveside service will be held on Friday July 29th at 10am at Sacred Heart Cemetery in Lakeland.
