William R. "Billy" Pocyntyluk,Sr., 52 of West Monroe, NY and previous part time resident of Westport, Ont., Canada died Tuesday. An avid outdoorsman, he enjoyed hunting, fishing and boating. Billy was a very dedicated and devoted father. He was an active member and coach with the Central Square Pop Warner Football program and a member of the Knights of the Cross. He loved his friends and enjoyed entertaining. He retired from Local 747 Carpenters Union in 1998 following 22 years of service as a carpenter.
Surviving are his wife of 18 years the former Brooke M. Webster; his children, William R. Jr. of Frankfort, NY, Thomas J. and Chelsea Pocyntyluk both at home; a brother, Michael (Lori Anne) Pocyntyluk of Fairmount; two sisters, Lori Lynn Pocyntyluk and Patricia (Din) Trinh both of Syracuse; several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be Friday from 5:00 to 7:00 pm with services to follow immediately at 7:00 pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Burial will be private.
