William J. Pedersen passed away on June 5, 2022 with his loving wife by his side.
He was born on September 6, 1934, in Vestal NY, the youngest son of the late Hans and Pearl (Knight) Pedersen. On June 28, 1975, William married Jean Livermore (Wright) in First English Lutheran Church, a blessed union of 46 years. William was a self-made man, working in several occupations utilizing his skills as a trailer and vehicle mechanic. He retired from Fruehauf Trailer Corporation in Syracuse, NY.
William always had a smile and kind word to say. He embodied a hard-working, can do attitude and was always willing to lend a hand to someone in need. Surviving besides his beloved wife, Jean, is his daughter Bonnie (Ronnie) Horning from his first marriage to Marge (Fellows), his step-children, Alma (Scott, a.k.a. Bucky) Widger, and Lee (Nancy) Livermore, grandchildren Heather and Steven Horning, Joann Pedersen, Daniel Johnson, Tina Widger, Hannah and Marcus Livermore, great-grandchildren, Daniel, Liam, and Luke Johnson.
William loved and cherished all his children and grandchildren equally. He had a special relationship with his stepson Bucky Widger, a bond that grew out of many years of working together on projects in his garage and home. William was predeceased by his parents, older siblings, Jack, Dorothy Moyer, Lyle, Betty Phillips, and Clifford, his son John, step-sons Mark and Michael Livermore.
Relatives and friends are invited and may call Tuesday, June 14, 2022, from 4 to 6 p.m. at New Comer Cremations and Funerals, 705 N Main St, North Syracuse, NY. Funeral services will commence at 6 p.m. following visitation.
In lieu of flowers, remembrances in William's name may be made to Emmanuel Lutheran Church in Clay NY.
