William E. Murphy, 85 of Cicero, NY, passed away peacefully on November 10th, 2021. Born on September 1st 1936 in Syracuse, NY to the late Eugene and Susan Murphy.
After leaving the family plumbing business, he worked with Onondaga County for over 30 years and was known as "Mr. Plumber." He was a member of Sacred Heart
Church.
He was a lifetime member of the North Shore Rod and Gun Club. He enjoyed the great outdoors and spending time with his family and friends.
He is survived by his wife of 65 years, Anne; children, Mary Sue (Daryl) Coulon, Thomas (Lydia) Murphy, Stephen Murphy, Cathy (Don) DeMarzo and Jennifer (Isaac) Cruz; 12 grandchildren; 5 great-grandchildren; brother, James (Edrie) Murphy and several nieces, nephews and cousins.
Predeceased by his son, Edward Murphy; siblings, Jack Murphy, Betty Galvin and Eileen Carroll. Bill's sense of loyalty, humor and wit will be greatly missed.
Calling hours will take place at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse, NY on Thursday, November 18th, 2021 from 4-7pm. A Memorial Service will be at a later date.
In lieu of flowers and with gratitude for his wonderful care, donations may be made in his memory to The Cottages at Garden Grove, 5460 Meltzer Court, Cicero, NY 13039. Contributions will be used towards a tribute in "Bill's" name.
