William W. Marsh, 92, of Hastings, passed away March 15, 2019.
Bill was born in Ithaca, New York on August 2, 1926 to the late Harley and Sabeila Marsh.
Bill worked at GE as a tool maker where he met his wife Janet. He later moved to Hastings and opened Marsh Machine Shop, where he worked until he was in his late 80's.
He was a member of Midstate Vintage Stock Car Club, a pioneer in Super Modified Racing for his Torsion Bars & tubing benders, distributor for Oilzum Motor Oil. He enjoyed watching his #37 racecars all over the East Coast and Canada.
He also was a member of the VFW Hastings-Parish Memorial Post 8823, Hastings VFD. He was well known and respected as one of the best Tool & Die maker for his ingenuity and knowledge. If he couldn't fix it, chances are it couldn't be fixed.
He will be dearly missed by all who knew and loved him.
He was predeceased by his Wife, Janet Marsh and Son, Arthur Wilson.
Bill is survived by his Three Sons, Kent (Diane) Marsh, William (Gail) Kisselstein, William Marsh, Jr.; Two Daughters, Leslie (Robert) Berlan, Cheryl (David) Weaver; Three Beloved pets, Bella, Mouser, T-Cat; As well as several Grandchildren, Great Grandchildren and Great Great Grandchildren.
Visitation will take place on Saturday, 11-2 PM at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, N. Syracuse. A service will follow at 2 PM. Burial to take place in the spring in Carley Mills Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Oswego Humane Society.
