William L. "Bill" Stamp, 69, passed away at Upstate University Hospital after a long battle with cancer. He was retired from the US Air Force after 21 years of service. He was also a retiree of the US Postal Service. He was born on August 10, 1943 in Manhattan to the late Thomas and Delia Stamp.
Bill is predeceased by his foster mother & father; Florence and Freeman Stay, his brothers Richard & Thomas Stamp, John & Freeman Stay, his sister, Virginia Justi.
Surviving are his wife, of 34 years, Nancy, 2 sons; Erik & Bryan Stamp, his daughter Jennifer (Charles) Lapp, 3 grandchildren; Madison & Brayden Lapp, Taylor Stamp, 4 sisters; Alice (Larry) Byrne, Ethel Quick, Marion (Everette) Vail, Bonnie (Dick) Webb, his brothers, Jim Stay, Frank Stamp,he also leaves behind several nieces, nephews and in-laws.
Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse.
Services will be held on Saturday 10:30 am at the funeral home. Burial will take place at Our Lady of Peace Cemetery.
