William H. Jones, 72, born in Philadelphia by the way of Syracuse, passed away Thursday at the VA Hospital with his loving wife, Charlene, by his side.
He was a Vietnam War veteran in the US Army. He was a Senior Soldier in the Salvation Army for 11 years.
Predeceased by his parents, John and Rosalie.
William is survived by his wife Charlene; six children, William Jr., Adrienne, Eugina, Rondell, Melvin and Renee; 19 grandchildren; 43 great-grandchildren; two sisters, Gwen Russell and Eugenia Scott; and a host of nieces, nephews and friends.
A Celebration of William's life will be held 12 Noon on Saturday 12/6 at the Salvation Army, 749 South Warren Street, Syracuse.
Donations may be made in his name to The Salvation Army Citadel Church.
