William M. Howard, died peacefully surrounded by family on November 12 at the age of 81.
Bill, as he was known to friends and family spent most of his life working in the airplane industry. Prior to that he worked for New York Central Railroad. He was a US Army veteran stationed at Presidio Army Base where he served in protocol motor pool where he drove for various high ranking officials. Bill enjoyed NASCAR races, traveling, fishing, and driving. He enjoyed hiking in the Southwest with his wife Thelma. His sense of humor always had everyone in stitches. His favorite times were times with family. He and Thelma were married in 1964.
He is survived by his wife, Thelma; their four children, Steven (Mary) Howard, Kelly (Keith) Brooks, Robin (Michael) Zuhlke, and Timothy (Kimberly) Howard; 6 grandchildren; and a brother, Thomas Howard.
He was predeceased by his parents, William and Elizabeth Howard; and a sister, Joan Borak.
Memorial contributions can be made to the American Cancer Society.
