William "Bill" John Hitchcock (77) passed away peacefully on May 12, 2021. Bill was born in Lowville, NY, the son of Bernard & Hazel Hithcock. He was a strong loving husband, son, brother, father, grandfather, and friend who will be dearly missed.
After graduating from Lowville Academy he enlisted in the Air Force and served in the Vietnam War. He was an active member of the VFW Post 153. He was happiest when hunting, fishing, and spending time with family and friends.
Bill was predeceased by his father, mother, brother (Bud) and son (Brian).
He is survived by his wife of 53 years Kathleen (Delaney) Hithcock, daughters Deborah Hitchcock, and Cheri (David) Modeen, and son Bill (Leslie) Hitchcock, as well as six grandchildren Emily, Abbey, Billy, Mitch, Delaney, Molly.
Calling hours will be held on May 20, 2021, at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 North Main Street, Syracuse NY 13212 from 4:00 - 7:00 pm. A funeral mass will be held on May 21, 2021 at Pope John XXIII Church, 8290 Soule Rd. Liverpool, NY 13090 at 10:00 AM, with a burial immediately following. Flowers are welcome.
