William H. "Bill" Jaquin, Jr., 82, of Bridgeport, died on Wednesday surrounded by his family. Bill was born in Syracuse, son of the late William, Sr. and Edna Jaquin.
He retired from Conrail after 33 years. He grew up on the northside of Syracuse and continued to meet up with his friends for a weekly card game at McChesney Park. Bill also enjoyed hunting, fishing and golfing. More than anything else he enjoyed spending time with his large family. Bill's family would like to thank the staff at Sedgewick Heights for their excellent care.
He was pre deceased by his wife, Marylou, 2 sons: Timothy & Robert, 2 brothers: Donald & George.
Surviving are his children: Linda (Sharon), Pat, Cathy (Larry) Alger, Cindy (Chuck) Matthews, Susan, MA, Lisa Temple, Sandy (Brian) Wilson, Charles (Hollie), Canada, James Jaquin, 34 grandchildren, 31 great grandchildren and brother Norman (Pat) Jaquin.
Calling hours Monday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse, with services to follow. Burial will take place at Assumption Cemetery Tuesday 10:30am.
Donations may be made to Bridgeport Food Pantry.
