William G. Gunsalus, 80 of Skaneateles died Wednesday at Auburn Memorial Hospital. William owned and operated Skaneateles Nursery with his wife Alice for 20 years. Alice, who predeceased him in 1989 enjoyed working with flowers while William focused on landscaping and yard care. William is survived by two sons, John (Kristen) of Skaneateles and William of Pennsylvania; a daughter, Linda of Ithaca; six grandchildren, three great grandchildren; a brother, James of Cato; a special nephew Gary Bellows and many other nieces and nephews.
Per William's request, there will be no calling hours or service.
In honor of William's memory please make donations to SAVES Ambulance of Skaneateles, Mottville Fire Department or the American Cancer Society.
