William Copp

William A. Copp Jr, 68, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Friday, October 25, 2024 surrounded by family at Francis House of Syracuse, NY. 

William "Bill" Copp Jr. was born to William and Ann Copp on January 16, 1956 in Syracuse, New York. Bill was a beloved son, brother, husband, father, and grandfather who dedicated his life to his family. 

Bill was always a man of his word and always on time for everything. In the 1980's, he spent many years as a door supervisor for various establishments while also working with his father as a professional electrician for over 50 years. In 1992, Bill met his loving wife of 32 years, Deborah, who blessed him with two children: daughter Jessica Copp and son William A. Copp III, as well as two stepchildren, Michael and Megan LaTuga, all whom he adored. 

Bill loved his family and the outdoors. It was common for Bill to spend weekends diving at Eighth Lake in the Adirondacks, hunting in the woods, camping at Moose River, or just going to the shooting range. 

He was preceded in death by his father, William A. Copp Sr, his mother, Ann M. Copp, and his daughter, Megan E. (Jesse) LaTuga. 

Bill is survived by his wife, Deborah Copp; two sons, Michael LaTuga and William Copp III; daughter, Jessica (Zachariah) Copp; grandchildren, Isabella Rusch, Ethan Bovay, and Emily Bovay; brother, Robert (Donna) Copp, and sister, Karen Copp. Bill will be deeply missed but forever remembered in the hearts of all who knew him. 

Bill's calling hours will be Monday, November 4, 2024 from 3pm until 6pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main Street, Syracuse, NY, to honor his legacy and the love he shared with those around him.
