William J. "Bill" Camp, 78, of Brewerton NY, found peace on 25 Dec 2024. Bill was born Nov. 16, 1946, to Ralph B. and Dorothy E. (Roach) Camp Jr. of Syracuse and grew up in the Valley. After graduating from Onondaga Valley Academy, he spent (36 years) at Niagara Mohawk working as a High Voltage Cable Splicer in the subway department.
Bill was known for his strong will, unwavering determination, and love and support for his family and friends. Bill enjoyed softball, bowling, golfing, and camping in the Adirondacks. He was a member of the American Legion. After retirement, he made unforgettable memories spending time at his camp on the Oneida River and taking the grandkids on his boat.
Bill is survived by his brother Gary R. (Mary) Camp of Oldsmar, Fl and three loving children William J (Teri) Camp Jr, Brett P (Deanna) Camp, and Erin S (Mike) Kemp; grandchildren Josie Camp, Liam (Ashley) Camp, and Coleman (Alyssa) Kemp; great-grandchildren Coraline and Ronan Kemp, his beloved dog Bud. He is also survived by his former wife and mother of his children Cheryl H. (Nolan).
There will be no calling hours. Graveside services will be held on Friday January 3, 2025 at 11am at Onondaga Valley Cemetery in Syracuse
