William Bliss, Jr., 91, died Tuesday, June 23, 2015. He was a WWII veteran who proudly served in the European Theater, 71st Division. He lived most of his life in North Syracuse. He was employed in the auto repair business.
He is predeceased by his parents, William and Lula Bliss; half-brother, Fred; brother, Harold; and sister, Wilma (Walter) Burian.
He is survived by his loving wife of 71 years, Mabel; sister, Helen Falge of Clay; sons, William (Jean) of Easley, SC; and Ronald (Denise) of Cicero; grandchildren, Kathleen (Thomas) Younginer of Easley, SC; Kimberly (Joseph) Rendino of Brewerton; and Sandra (Christopher) Graham of Liverpool; 7 great grandchildren; and several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be from 11 a.m. - noon Friday at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse, with services to follow at noon.
In lieu of flowers, memorial contributions can be made to the Alzheimer's Association, 441 W Kirkpatrick St, Syracuse, NY 13204 or the American Diabetes Association, 356 N Midler Ave # 4, Syracuse, NY 13206.
