William F. Baron, 75, of Syracuse passed away on Thursday at Bishop Rehabilitation. He was born in Altoona, PA on February 21, 1945 son of the late Andrew & Anne Baron. He was raised in Rochester and spent the last 26 years in Syracuse. He served in the US Navy from 1960-64. He enjoyed being at family gatherings, listening to music and smoking his cigarettes. Most of all he loved the sound of his families laughter.
He was predeceased by his parents and his grandson Thomas Brantley.
He is survived by his children; Andrew (Nicole) Baron, William (Elaine) Baron, Roxann Brantley, Carrie (Preston) Bishop, 16 grandchildren, 12 great grandchildren, sister Leilani Duttinger, brother Darryl Baron, his closest cousin Cindy Maier, his ex-wife/friend Fran Marinelli, along with several nieces, nephews & cousins.
The familywould like to thank the Staff at Bishop Nursing Home for caring for their father, for the last two years. Also a special thank you to Nurse Manager Shaquana Stroman.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 11-12pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St., N. Syarcuse, with services at noon. Burial at a later date at Onondaga Veteran's Cemetery.
Gathering size within our chapels will be based on the most current NYS occupancy requirements. Masks are required and social distancing is to be observed inside and outside of our chapels.
