William A. Dwight, 84, of North Syracuse, passed away Tuesday. He was an Army Air Corp veteran serving in WWII. He worked for NYNEX and retired with over 40 years of service. He was a member of the Pastime Athletic Club and the American Legion Post 0832, Cape Vincent, NY. He is predeceased by a sister, Theresa Folsom.
He is survived by his wife of 63 years, Betty Jane; two sons, Scott W. Dwight, Daniel G (Mary) Dwight; one sister, Shirley Nitzke; two grandchildren, Betsy (Darren) Spillman and Billy Dwight; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday, 10AM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse. Burial will follow in White Chapel Memory Gardens. Calling Hours will be today from 6-8PM, at the funeral home.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the American Lung Assn.
