Willard G. "Woody" Woodruff, 88, of E. Syracuse passed away on Saturday at the VA Hospital. He served in the US Navy during WW II and retired from General Motors and the Railroad. Woody was a member of the American Legion, the VFW, he was a civilian pilot, he enjoyed hunting and camping. He was predeceased by his wife, Barbara Scanlon in 2008 and his brother, Robert.

Surviving are his daughter, Susan J. Woodruff, 3 sons; David, Jeffrey & Martin (Sue Ann) Woodruff, 7 grandchildren, 7 great grandchildren and his sister, Dorothy Clayton.

Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Funeral services will be held on Thursday 10am at the funeral home. Burial will take place in Collamer Cemetery.
