Wilfred Ketwaru

Wilfred Ketwaru (a.k.a Willow, Brother Willow, Uncle Willow), 77, of Baldwinsville, NY, went home to be with the Lord and Savior on Wednesday, August 18, 2021, peacefully in his sleep.

He was born in Georgetown, Guyana to John and Itwaria (a.k.a. Molly) Ketwaru.

Wilfred leaves behind a legacy of kindness and service. He loved God and served him well, all the days of his life, with honor and integrity. He was always willing to help anyone in need, but he lived his life for his siblings and their children. He will forever hold a special place in the hearts of all those whose lives he touched.

Wilfred is survived by his twelve siblings, Lucille (Alan) Sears, Patrick (Indrani) Persaud, Shirley (Haitram) Samaroo, Dawattie (Michael) Chaves, Juliette (Ramdeo) Persaud, Ruby (Michael) Edghill, Rudolph (Reana) Katwaru, Clifford (Selis) Ketwaru, Fedrick (Ormilla) Ketwaroo, Savitri (Colin) Marshall, Bastio (Nadira) Ketwaru, Sandra (Anant) Sharma, and many nieces and nephews.

Calling hours for Wilfred will be held Tuesday, August 24th from 4 - 7pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals.

Burial will take place on Wednesday, August 25, at 2:00pm at Plainville Rural Cemetery in Plainville, New York.
