Wilda Lee Griffith, 91, of St. Albans, WV, passed away September 24, 2020.
Wilda was born in Page, West Virginia on December 4, 1928 to the late Patrick and Alma Williams.
In her earlier years, she enjoyed waitressing at Phillip's Restaurant in Charleston, WV. She also used to work in department stores demonstrating new products. She enjoyed traveling with her family to churches around the country so her children could perform Gospel Music. In later years, she perfected the "homemaker" position; she was a great cook and mother. She enjoyed lighthouses, had a great sense of humor and could make anyone laugh.
She has resided in Syracuse for the past 3 years. Part of that time she lived with her twin sister Wanda Soule and then her niece Diane Williams. And always there to lend a helping hand, her nephew Louis Pizzuti.
She was preceded in death by her husband of many years, Ben Griffith.
She is survived by her five children, Ben D. II, Joyce G. Angus, Richard L., Robert L. and Janet L.
Locally Wilda is survived by her twin sister, Wanda Soule; niece, Diane Williams; nephew, Louis Pizzuti (Theresa); grandnieces, Maria Pizzuti; Kimberly Koons (Butch); Diana Campbell (Mick); Nicole Jennings (Don); also grandniece, Kristine Lehrer (Dan) of North Carolina, and several grandchildren, great-grandchildren and many nieces and nephews.
A memorial service will be held on Saturday, October 10th at 1:00 p.m. at Life Church, 7125 Collateral Road, East Syracuse, NY. The service will be streamed live. Website: lifechurchcny.com.
