Werner F. Buchmann
August 30, 1953 — April 7, 2022
Werner F. Buchmann, 68, of Liverpool, passed away on Thursday, April 7th after a short illness. He was born in West Point, NY to the late Joan and Werner K. Buchmann. Werner retired from CNY DSO after over 30 years of service. He was a Fourth Degree Knight in the Knights of Columbus, a proud member of the Syracuse German American Club, former member of the Board of Directors for L'Arche and played in the CNY Bocce League.
Werner was predeceased by his sister, Heide
Buchmann and his step-mother, Hannelore Buchmann.
He is survived by his wife of 42 years, Patricia; children, Aaron, Elizabeth (Bryan), Michael (Alicia) and Andrew; grandchildren, Lucca, Briana (Bruce), Katie (Dylan); great-grandchildren, Jacob, Sadie, Damien and Lilly; siblings, Ray, Bruce, Loretta and Carol (Chuck); nieces and nephews and two very special family members, Tom Stagnitta and Michael Currie.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, April 19th 5-7pm at New Comer Cremations and Funerals in North Syracuse. A Funeral Mass will take place on Wednesday, April 20th 10am at Sacred Heart Church in Cicero with burial to be held at a later date.
