Wendy A. Cumber, 53, of Syracuse, passed away on January 26th at Upstate Hospital. Wendy was born in Syracuse on August 9, 1968 daughter of Carl and Murelyn Cumber. Wendy worked at Burger King and Hampton Inn in Liverpool. Wendy enjoyed being by the water and taking long walks with her companion, Chuck. She also liked playing games on her phone and Word Search puzzles. Wendy was predeceased by her mother Murelyn.

She is survived by her father, Carl (Diane) Cumber, her lifetime companion of 25 years Charles Thorne, 3 brothers; Garry (Joett) Cumber, David (Nancy) Cumber, Gerry (Tyra) Cumber, step brother, Andy (Morgan) McAllister, sister, Suzanne Cumber (John Tyler), uncle, Nelson Lawerence Peake, along with many nieces, nephews and cousins.

Visitation will be held on Friday from 2-3pm on Friday February 4th at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, 705 N. Main St. N. Syracuse, with services at 3pm.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the family.
