Wendell H. Taylor, Jr., 78 of Brewerton, passed away on Monday while under the care of his loving family. Wendell retired from UPS in 1994, was a member of the Teamsters Union #317 and was also employed at the family business Wen's Express. He enjoyed watching NASCAR and used to race midget Sprint cars.
Wendell was predeceased by his parents, Wendell Taylor, Sr. and Mary Taylor, brother, Robert Taylor, 3 sisters; Pauline Dempsey, Virginia Birmingham and Mary Jane Fleming.
He is survived by his wife, Debi, 2 sons; Edward (Joe-Anna) Taylor, Baldwinsville, Tim (Amy) Taylor, Brewerton, 4 daughters; Mary Jo (Randy) Keiser, Bernhards Bay, Wendy (Randy) Wolfenbarger, Raleigh, NC, Adrienne (Chris) Foy, Central Square, Mari Taylor (Ray Henry), Rochester, 11 grandchildren, 5 great grandchildren, sister, Dorothy Montgomery, Fairmount, along with several nieces and nephews.
Calling hours will be held on Thursday from 3-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse. Services will be held on Friday 10 am at the funeral home. Burial at Pine Plains Cemetery.
Contributions may be made to the Brewerton Fire Dept. Auxiliary, P.O. Box 161, Brewerton, NY 13029.
Wendell was known to be the life of the party and we are confident he will continue to be so.
