Walter W. Hanford, 70, of Syracuse, passed away Tuesday after a brave battle with cancer. He was a Vietnam War veteran serving on a submarine, in the Navy. He loved his grand-children most of all and enjoyed fishing and golfing.
He is survived by his wife of 48 years, Maryanne; a daughter, Kristin (Patrick) Hart; two grandchildren, Kathryn and PJ Hart; two sisters; and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be private.
