Walter "Joe" Sweeney, Jr. 71, of Syracuse, passed away on Tuesday at home surrounded by his loving family. Walter was born in Syracuse on January 22, 1950 son of the late Walter and Mary Sweeney. Walter retired from City of Syracuse DPW. Walter was predeceased by his sisters, Linda Garrick and Carol O'Neil.
He is survived by his beloved wife, Kathleen, his cherished daughter, Shannon (Jason) Egolf, and adored granddaughter, Kaitlin Sweeney.
