Walter Kufel

Walter Kufel, 88, of Liverpool, passed away peacefully on Friday morning.
Walter served in the U.S. Army during WW II, which he received the Victory Medal. He was a member of the Liverpool Fire Department for 10 years. He enjoyed bowling, gardening, watching golf and was an avid Syracuse sports fan. Walter was a longtime body and fender man for Lewis Goodman Motors and also worked for the Salina Highway Department.
Survivors include his five children; Margaret Kufel, Virginia (Mark) Hamilton, David Kufel, Victoria Guiles and Constance Linsky. Ten grandchildren and several great grandchildren.
Walter is predeceased by his wife, Helen (Sachok) formerly of East Syracuse.
Calling hours will take place Tuesday 4-7PM at New Comer Funeral Home.
Funeral services Wednesday 11AM at funeral home. Interment will follow at North Syracuse Cemetery.
In lieu of flowers donations may be made to Disabled American Veteran's (DAV), 344 W. Genesee St. #203, Syracuse, NY 13202.
