Walter J. "Walt" Kobos, 90, of Central Square, passed away peacefully at home on Monday.

He was born on July 20, 1924 in Syracuse, son of the late Martin and Agriezka Kobos. He served in the US Army during WW II and he retired from Carrier Corp. Walt was an avid hunter, he was a trap shooter, he was a life time member of the North Sportsmans Club, the Southshore Sportsmans Club and the Bridgeport Rod & Gun Club.

He was predeceased by his brother Edward Kobos.

Surviving are his beloved wife Mary Ann of 16 years, 3 stepchildren: Mark (Suzanne) Vislosky, Terry (Steve) Spalding, Brian (Colleen) Vislosky, 7 grandchildren, his sister Virginia Organski, along with several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be held on Friday from 4-7pm at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse.

A mass of Christian Burial will be held on Saturday 9:30am at Sacred Heart Church, Cicero.

In lieu of flowers donations may be made to the Sacred Heart Food Pantry or to the North Sportsmans Club.
