Wallace W. Gladle, 96, of West Monroe, passed away June 22, 2018.
Wallace was born in Pierce Corners, New York on August 16, 1921 to the late Leslie and Mildred Gladle.
A U.S. Army Veteran, Wally served overseas during WWII in the Northern African and Italian campaigns. He retired from Dudley Poultry as a truck driver after many years. In his free time, he enjoyed gardening and playing a multitude of musical instruments. Most of all, he enjoyed spending time with his family, especially the annual family trip up North.
He was preceded in death by his wife, Marion Gladle; 1 granddaughter, 1 great grandson, son in law, Ricky Haselmayer, his 3 brothers, 3 sisters and faithful canine companion, Maggie.
He is survived by his children, Julie (Bill) Parale, Bernard (Debra) Gladle, Roger Gladle, Deborah (Joseph) Lantry, Dennis Gladle, John Gladle, Elizabeth Haselmayer; Brother, Ronald Gladle; 19 grandchildren, 40 great grandchildren and 9 great-great grandchildren.
Visitation will take place on Tuesday, June 26 from 3-6 pm at New Comer Cremations & Funerals, North Syracuse, where funeral services will be held Tuesday at 6:00 pm.
In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to any animal shelter.
