Virginia R. La Ronde, 87 of Mattydale died Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Mrs. La Ronde was a member of the American Legion Auxillary, Post 1837 in Mattydale. She was an avid bingo player and loved her dog "Misty". She was predeceased by her husband, William D. La Ronde in 2000, her sister, Julia Smith and five brothers, John, Frank, William, Anthony and Edward Kozlowski.
Surviving are her daughter, Julia Preston of Liverpool; sons, William (Mary) of Wilmington, NC and Tim (Connie) La Ronde of Spring Hill, TN; a brother, Chester (Helen) Kozlowski of N. Syracuse; nine grandchildren, ten great grandchildren and seven great-great grandchildren and several nieces and nephews.
Services will be 11 am Saturday at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St, N. Syracuse.
Calling hours will be Friday from 4-7 at the funeral home.
Burial will be private in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
Contributions may be made to Hospice of CNY or a charity of ones choice.
