Virginia R. "Ginny" Leonardi, 82, of Liverpool, New York died Saturday, August 6, 2011 at home following a long illness.
Ginny retired from Alexander & Alexander in 1989 following 15 years of service as an Insurance Underwriter. She was a loving mother of seven children who always put family first. She summered in Forestport and was an avid camper, enjoying the Adirondacks and Sylvan Beach. Virginia was a communicant of St. Margaret's Church.
She was predeceased by her loving husband, Louis J. Leonardi, II in 1988.
Surviving are a daughter, Gayle (Dave) Stookey; six sons, Anthony (Judy)Leonardi, Louis, III (Victoria) Leonardi, Paul (Theresa) Leonardi, Glenn (Mary) Leonardi, Ronald Leonardi and Duane (Cheri) Leonardi; two sisters, Mary Lou Hamlin and Barbara Fredette; a brother, Richard (Mary) Evans; 13 grandchildren, two great grandchildren, several nieces and nephews.
Services will be Thursday, August 11, 2011 at 10 AM at St. Margaret's Church, Mattydale, New York. Burial will be in Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay, New York. Calling hours will be Wednesday, August 10, 2011 from 4-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 North
Main Street, North Syracuse, New York.
