Virginia F. Mcmahon

Virginia F. McMahon, 80, of Cicero passed away peacefully Monday April 21, 2008 at St. Joseph's Hospital. Ginny worked for Terminal Freight as a tariff specialist for 20 years. She retired from Syracuse China Corp. as Manager of purchasing in 1993. Ginny was a communicant of Sacred Heart Church in Cicero and was a member of the Cicero Senior Center, as well as the Red Hat Society. She is predeceased by her first husband, Thomas O'Boyle (1975), her sister, Nancy (Dems) Giambrone in 1997 and 14 year old grandson, Michael Steber in 1989.

She is survived by her husband; Francis "Tom" McMahon of Cicero, daughter; Mary (Michael) Steber of Liverpool, step-daughter; Kathy McMahon Ruscitto of Syracuse, brother; Robert (Molly) Bacon of Liverpool, grandchildren; Kelly Steber-Newton of Liverpool, Thomas (Dawn) Steber of Clay, Robyn Steber of Syracuse, Ryan Steber of Chesapeake, VA, Patrick Steber of San Francisco, CA, as well as four great grandchildren; one great-great granddaughter and several nieces and nephews.

Friends and family may call Thursday from 4-7 PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N Main St., North Syracuse. Services will be held on Friday at 9:30 am at Sacred Heart Church, Cicero where a Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated. Burial will be private.

In lieu of flowers the family asks that donations be made in Ginny's name to the Carol M. Baldwin Breast Cancer Research Fund of CNY, 3793 Milton Ave, Camillus, NY 13031.
