Virginia E. Hughes, 88, of Mattydale, passed away Thursday. She was retired from Packaging Corp of America. She was predeceased by her husband, Lewis in 1998
Virginia is survived by her children, Linda M. Hughes, Steven J. (Randie) Hughes and Marcia E. Hughes; her granddaughter, Wendy (John) Vann; two great grandchildren, Jacob and Cecelia; her brother, Douglas (Geraldine) Gates; and many nieces and nephews.
Services will be Monday 10 a.m. at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St, N. Syracuse. Burial will follow in White Chapel Cemetery, DeWitt. Calling hours will be Sunday from 1-4 p.m. at the funeral home.
Contributions can be made to the Mattydale Fire Department.
