Virgil P. DeLee Jr., 89, of Syracuse, went home to be with the Lord on Sunday with family at his side.

He was born in Dorchester, SC. He loved his family and enjoyed fishing, watch westerns and the NY Yankees. He retired from Syracuse Tank and Manufacturing Co. with 33 years of service.

Virgil is predeceased by his wife, Mary Lee DeLee; one son, Gregory R. DeLee Sr.; two grandsons, Davon and Dayquan DeLee; his parents, Virgil and Lucille DeLee; and 14 Siblings.

He is survived by four daughters, Pamela Ray and Mary DeLee of Syracuse and Debra (David) Ross and Blondell (Tyrone) Callway of SC; three sons, Virgil (Gloria) Smith, Sanford and Dwight DeLee all of Syracuse; 22 grandchildren; 27 great grandchildren; 12 brothers and sisters all of SC; a special friend, Johnny Mae Grainger of Syracuse; and numerous nieces and nephews.

Calling hours will be Saturday from 11-12PM at Bethany Baptist Church, 149 Beatie St., Syracuse.

Services will follow at 12PM. Burial will follow at Oakwood Cemetery, Syracuse, NY.
