Viola A. Babcock, 94, of Syracuse, passed away on Saturday at Loretto Nursing Home. She was born on September 29, 1918 in Deansboro, daughter of Anton and Nina Ormason. She worked at Hotel Syracuse for 50 years. Viola will always be remembered by those who knew her, for her quick and witty sense of humor.
She was predeceased by her husband, Lyle Babcock and her youngest son, William Babcock.
Surviving are two daughters; Ruth (Alfred) Cephus, Hilda Sullivan; two sons, Edward Babcock, Charles (Barbara) Babcock; many grandchildren and great grandchildren.
Calling hours will be held on Wednesday from 9-11am at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse, with services to follow.
