Vincent J. Scripa, 90, of Liverpool, passed away on November 16, 2016 in Syracuse.
Calling hours will be 1:30-3 p.m. Sunday 11/20/2016 at Buckley Road Baptist Church, Liverpool. Funeral services will be held following calling hours with Pastor Dan Smith of Buckley Road Baptist Church, officiating.
Vincent was born in Syracuse to Frank and Angela on January 21, 1926. He graduated from Prescott School and attended Syracuse University. He worked in retail sales for 50 years. He was a veteran of WWII and was a sergeant in the Army Air Corps, 989th Air Engineer Squadron and was awarded the following medals; American Campaign, Asiatic Pacific Campaign, Good Conduct and the World War II Victory.
Vincent is preceded in death by his son Jeffrey in 1971, niece Yolanda in 1972 and granddaughter Leah in 1996.
Vincent is survived by his wife of 40 years, Anna, his sons Lesleigh (Kathy), Timothy (Donna), and Kenneth from his former wife Nancy Leigh Sundell, Frank (Deborah), Gennaro (Bonnie), Larry (Pam), and Joe (Annette) from Anna, grandchildren Jon-Jeffrey, Emileigh, Timothy, Dolores, Michael, Rachel, Philip, Melissa, Danielle, Jessica, Riki, Joey and Alec, and fourteen great-grandchildren.
In lieu of flowers, donations may be made to the Alzheimers Association, CNY Chapter; alzcny.org or to Clear Path for Veterans.
