Vincent J. Massara, 82, of Clay, passed away Monday.
Vincent was a retired chef, working at Three Rivers Inn and Pirate's Cove.
He enjoyed cooking and teaching his family how to cook, making everything from scratch.
He was a Communicant at St. Stephen's Church.
Vincent loved the outdoors, camping, fishing, telling jokes, playing the baritone horn, classical music and his pet, Babe.
He was also a woodcarver and carved many canes, walking sticks and nameplates for his family to enjoy.
Survivors include his wife of 56 years, Roberta "Bertie"; children, Vincent (Pamela) and Bernadette (John) Daniels; grandchildren, Greg and Allison and sisters, Jennie, Emma, and Adeline; one brother-in-law Gary and three sisters-in-law, Jean, Rita and Peggy.
Calling hours will be 2-5pm on Sun. at New Comer Funeral Home, N. Syracuse.
Mass will be at 9:30AM on Mon. at St. Stephen's Church, 469 Main St., Phoenix. Burial Pine Plains Cemetery, Clay.
In lieu of flowers, donations to St. Stephen's Church.
