Velma J. Green, 93, of Malta Manor, formerly of Liverpool, passed away Monday with her loving family by her side. She was employed with the Liverpool School Dist. She was also a 25 year volunteer with Camp Fire USA and a member of the Cicero United Methodist Church. Her hobbies included poetry writing, camping and making crafts. She had a great love for the outdoors and traveling to Myrtle Beach. She is predeceased by her husband, Donald Green, May 28, 2000.
She is survived by her children, Ronald (Karen) Green, Sharon Green, Cindy (Bill) Pelkey, her sister, Lola (Louie) House; five grand-children, five great grand-children and one great great granddaughter.
Services will be Friday, 11 AM at the Cicero United Methodist Church. Burial will follow at White Chapel Memory Gardens. Calling Hours will be Thursday from 5-8PM at New Comer Funeral Home, 705 N. Main St., N. Syracuse.
Contributions in lieu of flowers may be made to the Cicero United Methodist Church.
