Valerie (Susie) L. Gifford, 75, of Nedrow, passed away Wednesday at St. Joseph's Hospital. Born in Malone, she lived most of her life in Syracuse. Susie worked 40 years at several well known restaurants as a barmaid. She is predeceased by her son, Michael Gifford.
Susie is survived by four daughters, Debra Alexander, Rebecca (Joseph) Maloney, Diane (Timothy) Kirkpatrick, Theresa Hollister; two sons, Bruce Hollister, Ernest (Diane) Hollister; a sister, Marilyn Johnston of Malone; 17 grandchildren; 22 great grandchildren, 5 great great grandchildren.
Services will be Monday, 10 AM at New Comer Family Funeral Home. Burial will be in St. Mary's Cemetery, Dewitt. Calling Hours will be Sunday from 1-4PM at the funeral home, 705 N. Main St., North Syracuse.
