Unice DeFreitas, belovedly known as Sean of Syracuse, NY, formerly of Kingston Park St Vincent, died on December 11, 2023.
She is survived by her brothers, Wendell of St. Vincent and Carlise of Canada; sisters, Amelia of Canada, and Rita, Selina and Angelina of the United States; brothers in law, Augustus Adams, Titus Simons and Frederick Wright; sisters in law, Irma and Helen DeFreitas; many nieces and nephews, Diana (Lennox) John, Roxanne, and Michael all of the United States, Cindy (Dale) Samuel, Godfrey, Natalie, Diane, Sharon, Rosita, Kimmie, Nicky, Nichole, Michelle, and Cliff all of Canada, Branson DeFreitas, Lynette DeFreitas-Lewis, and Ken DeFreitas, all of St. Vincent, and Deanna DeFreitas, Dawn, Bobbie, Sophie, Dean, Laverne, and Joseph all of England; many great nieces and nephews, Lennise, Damal, Lennisha, Dashawn John and Dwight of the United States, and Dylan and Deneka of Canada; great great nieces, Janelle John-Epps and Sierra John of the United States; aunt, Thea Brown Tannis; cousins, Merle Brazel, Kennick Holligain Wrentley both of St. Vincent, and Janet Agard of the United States; caregiver and friend, Crystal Booth; and several other close friends, Anita Knights, Norma Burke, Sylvia Dennis. Jennifer Little, Merlin Miller, Stella Brown, Anthony Clarke, Anthony Samuel, Nadine Walker and Anita Edwards.
Calling hours will be held, Saturday December 23, 2023 at New Comer Cremations and Funerals from 11-1pm, where funeral services will be held immediately following at 1:00 pm with Ife Ojetayo from Church of the Holy Trinity, officiating.
