Tyler J. Coon (TJ), of Syracuse, passed away unexpectedly on October 6, 2022 at the young age of 21.
Born on December 17, 2000, TJ had a rambunctious, bright, and loud personality from the start. He was incredibly charismatic, had a great sense of humor, and had a smile that would warm up any room. He enjoyed partying with family and friends, making fun of people, a good dark joke and a dab at anytime.
TJ was a celebrated athlete, playing football for the Eastwood Bears and Henninger High School. He also enjoyed playing lacrosse.
Anyone who knows him, knows that even though he was physically big, so you couldn't miss him when he entered a room or fell asleep in the middle of a floor, his personality and laughter was what really stood out.
TJ was a gentle giant, loving, friendly, honest, direct, and selfless. He was always willing to help anyone who needed it. Including, his grandma who couldn't reach high shelves.
Above all else, he was loyal and family oriented. He was an amazing 'dog' dad, son, brother, grandson, nephew, and cousin. He especially loved being an uncle.
Tyler is survived by his parents Richard (Stacey) Coon and Jennifer (Josue) Colon; siblings Bella (Nate), Janáya, Alyssa, Josue Jr.; Nephew Noah; grandparents, Tony and Barb (DiFlorio), Robin Rich, Christine Sgouris, many aunts, uncles, and cousins; dogs, Athena and Kane and snakes, Leila and Mitch
Family and Friends may call on Thursday October 13, 2022 from 2pm to 5pm with a short service to follow.
To honor Tyler, BYOB or a small gift that can be left with him, in lieu of flowers.
