Ret. SFC Todd Frederick Higley, age 62 of Big Rock, TN, passed away Thursday, May 23, 2019 at Tennova Healthcare of Clarksville.
He was born November 30, 1956 in Auburn, New York, son of the late Frederick Alfred and Mary Theresa Holcombe Higley.
Mr. Higley retired from the United States Army after 22 years of service, and was a veteran of the Gulf War. His memberships included the VFW Post 4730, American Legion in Dover, Military Order of the Cootie and DAV, and AMVETS Post 45.
He is survived by his wife, Laurie Higley, Big Rock; sons, Michael Higley and Joesph Higley; daughters, Barbara Gambrell, Tabitha Higley, Georgia Higley, and Alexis Higley; sister, Dee Higley; stepchildren, Ronnie Peak and Spencer Lee Peak, as well as 17 grandchildren.
Initial arrangements were entrusted to Anglin Funeral Home, Dover, Tennessee, and a funeral service was held there at 6:00 pm Tuesday, May 28, 2019, with Bro. Phillip Chambers and Chip Perretta officiating. VFW Post 4730 provided military honors.
Mr. Higley will be laid to rest Friday, May 31 at 2:00 pm in St. Joseph's Cemetery, Auburn, New York. Services will be handled by New Comer Cremations & Funerals, Syracuse, New York.
