Timothy R. Wobus

Timothy Richard Wobus, 37, of Manlius, died peacefully on January 26, 2022 after a short illness. He was born May 7, 1984 in Syracuse and grew up in Manlius, attending Fayetteville-Manlius schools.

Tim was autistic and resided in the Manlius IRA group home. He was a gentle soul, and though non-verbal, he spoke through his music and art. His paintings were featured in Arise UNIQUE's annual art show at the Everson. He enjoyed puzzles from an early age. Over his life, he made many friends and advocates, including his teachers, caregivers, and fellow residents.

Tim is survived by his parents, John Wobus and Linda Neider Wobus, his sister, Megan (Charley) Beller, and nephews, Naftali, Akiva, and Elazar, as well as aunts, uncles and cousins.

He was predeceased by his grandparents, Richard and Ruby Neider, Herman and Velma Wobus, and Ruth Wobus.

In lieu of flowers, contributions may be made to Arise in care of UNIQUE magazine or Arise at the Farm.

A memorial service will be held at a later date.
